The study of the positions and aspects of celestial bodies
in the belief that they have an influence on the course
of natural earthly occurrences and human affairs.
The study of Astrology dates back to 3000 BC. This
is when the earliest written astrological records
of the lunar cycles, the stars movements, and
planetary movements were first recorded. Stonehenge was
starting to be built around 2500 BC and was used to
calculate astronomical data.
The Zodiac, believed to have been developed by the
ancient Egyptians and later adopted by the Babylonians,
means "circle of animals" in Greek. During
the time of these great civilizations, Astrology was
mostly used to predict large-scale events such as
war, famine, natural disasters, and the weather. We
believe this is the birthplace of Astrology. The Babylonians
introduced it to the Greeks early in the 4th century
BC, and through great philosophers such as Aristotle
and Plato. The early Astrologers were very aware that
it took the sun 12 lunar cycles to return back to
its original position in the skies, and they identified
12 constellations of stars that were linked to the
cycle of seasons. Then, they assigned each constellation
a name, and hence, we have the signs of the Zodiac:
(starting in spring) Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer,
Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn,
Aquarius, and Pisces. Astrology became highly regarded
as a science.

Around 250 BC, the Greeks devised a sophisticated system
of using the date and time of birth to gain insights
into an individual's personality traits and characteristics
as well as some of the major experiences that you are
destined to experience. Ptolemy wrote the first modern
Astrology textbook establishing the heart and soul of
Astrology, which has not much changed in the practices
of Western Astrology today. He served in dual roles
as both the scientifically-minded mathematical astronomer
searching out the skies, and as the metaphysically-minded
astrologer divining the purposes of the heavens.
During the Middles Ages, there was what was known as "The
Quiet Period" in Western Astrology. The Christian
Church was busily at work getting ready to establish itself
as the predominant Western world power and belief system
for the next several hundred years. Astrologers of this
day were not keen on losing their heads. Out of necessity
and the avoidance of possible persecution, they took to
the underground and kept a low profile. The Church was
unsure of its official standpoint on Astrology. There
were times when the Christian church leaders condemned
astrology as being heretical, while at the same time,
other church leaders sought out the professional help
of astrologers to guide them on their path. We believe
the church's involvement during this time was mixed, and
seemed to be quite hypocritical.
From Astrology, came both Medicine and Astronomy, and
up until recently (the 18th century), Astronomy and
Astrology were one and the same. One even had to be
educated in Astrology to become a Doctor. And, it was
a regular course of study for the Doctors during that
time.

Astrology is the study of the divination on human affairs
by the movements of these celestial bodies.
So what, do you ask, can astrology do for me today? We believe it is sort of
a "roadmap" to your life. Astrology is about
personal growth and development. It is here to give
you the insights you need to help you on your path to
prosperity. "We are not human beings on a spiritual
experience, but spiritual beings on a human experience."
If you seek wisdom and guidance, it is one of the tools
we have to better understand ourselves and our purpose
on this planet. We're all on a quest for greater peace
and balance, and ways to make sense of our lives. We
want astrology to empower us and to help spread some
light. Astrology does not predict the future, but can
tell us what trends are coming. It is not fortune telling,
but can give us just the information and insights we
need to make decisions that determine our future. "A
moment's insight is sometimes worth a lifetime's experience."
